TF - G1xTFC Laserbeak study

Description

So, slowly, getting around to working out this little study project thing i've been toying with. Basically for a better understanding of the dynamics of form, using reference from sources for the designs... Good chance none of that really made much sense but i'm tired and I'm just prattling out of my head mostly.

But eh, the first of my home made TF 'art study' project -G1 Laserbeak. Started off with him, as he isn't that hard of a design...well, somewhat. TF aren't exactly the easiest things to work with if you want actual details, but that is the whole point with studying the form anyway, lol. My own poking around with interpretation thrown in too, i'm sure you can pick that one out... Needless to say, the inking still needs work, but these were not meant to be super works of anything, just practice with traditional media. I don't feel so bad mucking up on the lines because of that. I DO know I need to get a better blue pencil that can actually erase. ARGH. Why does the art stores around here not carry Non-Photo blue drafting pencils? >:C

Base sketch with blue coloring pencil, pencil sketched over in some parts with mechanical pencil then inked over with micron tech pens in varying sizes.

Visual reference for G1 Laserbeak is from the TF: The Complete Ark book and for Cybertron G1 Laserbeak "More Than Meets the Eye" Ep 1. Well, besides the doodle of the back of his head and the front of his head, that was my own doing.

Hopefully people understand the difference of using VISUAL reference vs flat out copy/trace - just throwing it out there, as I can only assume most people have taken some form of art class and had to use such to work out the kinks in their own form. I've just got high school art classes to back me up, lol.

My interpretation is probably going to look all kinds of crazy compared to these. Going to poke around with his TFA look and some other versions, to get a better feel on the hybrid...something.
